Apps Observed :
(7) Gpay, PhonePay ,Paytm , Amazon Pay, Freecharge, Mobiwik, Bhim

Observation :

1)(6/7- apps observed) Gpay, Phonepay , Paytm, Freecharge, Mobiwik, Bhim Allow users to directly import image on the QR Scan page with the help of a small gallery icon so that users don’t have use a second device for scanning the code which they have received over social media/mail.

2)(1/7- apps observed)Amazon Pay is lacking in this feature and only allows scan through 2nd device /physical QR code.

3)(4/6-Apps which allow importing)Gpay,Paytm,Freecharge,Mobiwik Instantly Process the QR code from the image which it imports from gallery of the user

4)(2/6-Apps which allow importing)PhonePay, Bhim are not able to Process the image. Phone Pe- screen gets stuck on the loading screen when the feature is used.

Bhim- The screen is back to the scanning page in Bhim.

5)(1/6 Apps which allow importing show prompt) Paytm is the only app of 6 which shows a cautionary prompt when the QR code is imported)

What makes this observation interesting :

Paytm is leading in ease of user access in making payments along with caution from the 7 apps listed above ,with fast processing speed and ability to scan all QR codes having UPI functionality irrespective of company along with prompt to be careful ,it was one of the first one to identify the problem of user needing to use second device to scan and added the gallery option to directly import the QR code, thereby making the payment to be completely hassle free and secure.
